Pastry Chef Amaury Guichon Makes Chocolate Hyundai Ioniq 6, Company Reacts

A few moments of web surfing is enough to spot a lot of creativity, which is something that we’ve seen yet again celebrated French-Swiss pastry chef Amaury Guichon. The ‘chocolate electric car’ he has created is a mini-me Hyundai Ioniq 6, albeit, a lot more edible. Guichon has time and again been in news for his life-like creations made of chocolate.

Video of Amaury Guichon Creating Chocolate Hyundai Ioniq 6 Goes Viral

A post on Instagram has a video showing Amaury Guichon pouring hot melted chocolate on a plane. Next, he makes a sketches the Hyundai Ioniq 6 on another surface. Then, he goes on to carve out the shape of the electric car from the solidified chunk of chocolate. True to his style, he pays full attention to detail and carefully carves out fine details of the vehicle. 

The video has received over 7 million hits. Describing his creation, Guichon has said: “Chocolate Electric Car! It’s weirdly not that easy to hand craft a perfectly symmetrical chocolate item…” Responding to the video, Hyundai USA has commented: “Now that’s a sweet ride!” Meanwhile, Internet users were stunned by the creation. One of them wrote: “Every new car design should be done in chocolate! Then no matter what design they choose, something good comes out of the unused designs!” Another one commented,“Your level of talent is absolutely insane.” A third user wrote, “The only electric car I would ever buy.”

Uploading the video on Youtube, Amaury Guichon captioned it: “I was challenged to create an electric car fully made of chocolate.  Creating an entirely handmade, symmetrical creation is much harder than it seems. How do you think I did?” Before the Hyundai Ioniq 6-like chocolate pastry, Guichon has created similar sculptures of foosball table during a FIFA World Cup season.
