Keep in mind that most electric vehicles (EVs) use a CCS (Combined Charging Standard) plug, whereas Tesla cars use a NACS (North American Charging Standard) plug. However, with the help of an adapter called the Magic Dock, even EVs that aren’t made by Tesla can charge at Tesla Supercharging stations. Carmakers Who Use Tesla Superchargers
The number of carmakers partnering with Tesla to use its charging stations has grown significantly over the past few years, especially last year. Lucid Motors is the latest electric vehicle (EV) company to join hands with Tesla, allowing its electric cars to use Tesla’s extensive charging network. In fact, both traditional car manufacturers and new EV startups are announcing that their new EV models will come with NACS plugs straight from the factory. Here’s the list of carmakers involved:

Numbers of Shared Superchargers
It’s important to know that not all Tesla Superchargers are open to non-Tesla cars. Currently, only 12,000 out of 17,000 Supercharging ports can be used by non-Tesla vehicles. These are the V3 Superchargers installed after 2019. The ones installed before that can’t charge with the Magic Dock adapter. Most car companies aim to start this partnership by mid-2024. The 2025 models of EVs from these car companies will have NACS support built in from the factory.
