Influencer Calls Tesla Cybertruck Pulling Sled Truck POINTLESS

This post comes from shiftinglanes on Instagram. The man in the video acknowledges that the Cybertruck performed extremely well in this particular competition. However, he thinks that this test proves nothing. This sled is designed in such a way that it could prevent the vehicle from moving as the weight on it moves forward. Hence, more force is needed as the load gets to the fore. In this race, all the pickup trucks were pushed to their limits and the Cybertruck outperformed everyone.

However, the point that this person is making is that EVs have the advantage of inherent instant torque. They receive torque from 0 RPM. Moreover, there is no transmission that the EVs have to go through. Therefore, the entire power is put down onto the wheels without any delay. On the other hand, petrol and diesel cars need to build the power upto the point where the engine outputs its peak power and torque. For that, the transmission has a proper way. Hence, the EV was always supposed to win such an event. Therefore, as per this man, this competition was meaningless.
