Tesla Cybertruck Prices High Due To Inflation?

A certain Nick Osborn shares his observations on the Tesla Cyber Truck page on Facebook. He says that every Tesla model has either seen a dip in prices since 2019 or these prices have largely remained the same. He goes on the prove his point by showing that the Tesla Model S used to cost $79,990 in 2019 and it costs $74,990 in 2023. Similarly, the price of the Model 3 was $38,990 in 2019 and remains the same even today. Finally, the Model X used to retail for $84,990 in 2019, whereas it sells for $79,990 today.

Only the Cybertruck was reported to cost $49,900 at the time of the unveiling in 2019. But now that it is launched, the prices start at a significantly higher $60,990. That is a surge of a noticeable 20%. This Facebook post also mentions that since the Gigapress was supposed to reduce the cost of the Cybertruck, this price tag is particularly disappointing. He thinks that now Tesla is just competing against Rivian and not the pickup truck industry.
