For over a decade, it’s led the way in EV technology. Many attribute Tesla with sparking the revolution in the automobile industry towards electrification. However, its grand goals for autonomous driving also pose a risk. Many people misuse this technology, leading to terrible accidents. Tesla EV Crash in China
This post comes from The Straits Times on YouTube. It captures the CCTV footage of the entire string of events. A Tesla EV is seen about to park on the side of the road. Suddenly, it is seen accelerating unnaturally. Thereafter, it looks like the car never stopped accelerating. An insane visual showcases the speeding car on the narrow streets. It was refusing to slow down at all. Unfortunately, it hit everything that came in its path. This includes two-wheelers, pedestrians and other cars. Finally, it came to a halt after colliding with many obstacles.

As per the information in the video, the horrific case claimed the lives of two people and injured three. Also, the Chinese media reported that there were issues with the car’s brake pedal. Responding to this, Tesla said that it will assist the police investigation. However, it denies any malfunction in the EV. This is not the first instance of such a crash in China. Being the largest EV market in the world, we get to encounter such cases relatively frequently.
